How to Enroll

Call us:
The first step is to contact our Manhattan office to speak with an educational consultant by calling 212.327.0098. In our first conversation, we will begin to understand your particular situation and needs. We inquire about your previous academic and standardized test performance as well as what you desire to achieve by working with us. During this conversation, we briefly discuss how our programs might help you to achieve your desired goals and answer any initial questions you may have.

The In-Person Consultation:
We offer an introductory in-person, in-home consultation to each of our clients in order to facilitate getting to know you personally and to better understand your needs. This experience allows us to discuss the initial tutoring plan and to select the appropriate tutor to meet your needs, personality, and learning style.  Please see the In-Person Consultation page for further information.

Diagnostic assessment:
Before the first tutoring session, we prefer that our new students take an initial diagnostic test in the subject or exam for which tutoring is desired. This preliminary test serves as a substantial part of our original evaluation of each student’s academic knowledge and standardized test-taking skills. This exam will be reviewed by the selected tutor and the results used to construct a highly customized tutoring plan.

Our tutors and rates:
If you choose to proceed with tutoring, your selected tutor will contact you to arrange your first appointment. Our rates in the New York City area begin at $125 per hour and vary according to a tutor’s seniority and by the nature of one’s tutoring request (e.g., subject, level, test, etc.). Not located in the New York City area?
Since our tutors are so highly qualified and have an outstanding reputation for helping students achieve their goals, they are delighted to share their expertise with students located across the United States.  If you are located outside of the New York City area, there are several options for you to receive help from our tutors. First, we offer one-on-one over-the-phone tutoring, an unconventional method which our students and tutors have found to be surprisingly effective. Second, many of our tutors are willing to travel.
